All-on-4 Dental Implants
Patients in need of implant dentures often cannot receive standard dental implants without first undergoing bone grafting surgery.
Advanced Dentistry of Blakeney in Charlotte, NC, offers All-on-4® implants, which we can usually place without preliminary grafting.
So what makes this advanced technique different?
The All-on-4 Method Involves a Shorter Timeline
In most cases, Dr. Pinnix or Dr. Betancourt can attach a temporary restoration at the same time as implant placement, meaning you never have to go without teeth. The procedure can be incorporated into a smile makeover.

An Outstanding Solution For Many Compromised Smiles
This advanced tooth replacement solution, available to our patients in Charlotte, Ballantyne, and surrounding communities, is specifically designed to replace an entire upper or lower dental arch. We do not recommend this type of dental implant for patients missing a single tooth or those who have retained the majority of their natural teeth.
If you are missing most or all of your teeth on either arch, this treatment can completely restore your bite with a denture that will stay firmly in place at all times thanks to four strategically placed dental implants. All-on-4 can be especially beneficial to those who would otherwise need a bone graft before receiving an implant-supported denture, but desire a faster and more cost-effective solution.
We Are Dedicated to Providing Exemplary Care
"As a patient of Advanced Dentistry of Blakeney for many years, I encourage all who are looking for a new provider for their dental issues to consider Advanced Dentistry of Blakeney. All of our family members are patients, including our 96 year old mother. Their professionalism, knowledge, courtesy, and kindness are so appreciated."

Save Money and Prevent Discomfort
The All-on-4 method takes less time, is more comfortable, and costs less than traditional implant methods.

This sounds like a complex procedure. How do you make it happen so efficiently?
We Use Cutting-Edge Technology for Outstanding Results
At Advanced Dentistry of Blakeney, serving Charlotte and Ballantyne, we use advanced dental technology to ensure the highest quality of care possible. For example, Dr. Pinnix and Dr. Betancourt can utilize our CAD/CAM system to take digital impressions and create three-dimensional images of your smile. These images allow for more precise planning and conservative treatment. We can also take digital x-rays to accurately visualize the supporting structures of your smile while designing your implant treatment plan.

Our team will provide helpful information to guide you through your recovery...
What to Expect During Your Recovery
Because dental implant surgery is an outpatient procedure, you can typically return home immediately after your treatment. If you received oral conscious or IV sedation, you will need a trusted friend or family member to drive you home.
In the hours following surgery, be sure to:
- Get plenty of rest
- Drink lots of fluids, but avoid extremely hot drinks, as these can trigger bleeding
- Take your medications as prescribed
- Apply an icepack to the outside of your cheek if you experience discomfort
You may be bruised or swollen for a few days after surgery, but these side effects should gradually subside. Throughout the rest of your recovery, it is important that you maintain a healthy lifestyle and good oral health. This will assist in the process of osseointegration, during which your titanium implants fuse with the surrounding bone tissue, creating a stable foundation for your permanent denture.
Four to six months later, we will schedule a follow-up visit so that we can determine the stability of your implants and assess whether you are ready for your permanent restoration.
How do I make the results last?
Caring for Dental Implants Is Easy
What do the results look like?
Results That Look & Feel Great
With our advanced dental treatment, you can reach your desired results faster than ever before. Because you leave our office with a fully functional temporary restoration on the same day of your surgery, you will never have to go without teeth.
Once the treatment site has fully healed, several months after surgery, you will come back to our office to receive your permanent restoration. This denture will be customized to your facial features and desired specifications. In addition to looking incredibly natural, it will feel stable and secure, allowing you to enjoy all of your favorite foods without worrying about embarrassing moments.

I am able to smile for that picture again.

This has to be expensive, right?
An Affordable Solution
While the many important benefits of dental implants are no secret, some candidates may hesitate to explore the treatment due to the cost. Although every patient's unique needs dictate how much treatment will cost, it is generally more affordable than restoring your smile with traditional implants because:
- It requires fewer implants
- It usually requires only one surgery
- It can allow you to undergo placement without preliminary dental bone grafting
What causes the most fluctuation in price?
All-on-4 Cost Factors
Denture MaterialYour dental restoration can be made from a variety of materials, from acrylic (the most affordable and least durable) to zirconia (the most expensive and durable). Your choice of materials can change the price of treatment by thousands of dollars.
Choice of DentistAll-on-4 is widely available, but experienced and reputable dentists performing this treatment are harder to find. An excellent dentist will charge more than a less experienced colleague, but the results are far more likely to provide long-term satisfaction.
I can't pay for this out-of-pocket. Are there other options?
Paying for All-on-4

Why choose All-on-4 over traditional implants?
All-on-4 often eliminates the need for dental bone grafting and can cost less due to fewer implants and a less involved treatment timeline.
How long will the results last?
While you can expect that your restoration may need to be replaced about every five to eight years, your implants can last 40 years or more with proper care.
How much downtime is required?
Most patients can return to work and non-strenuous physical activity within 24 and 48 hours.
